This series contains correspondence, letters, minutes, permits, reports, and resolutions related to Indian Services at the Taholah Agency. Among the records are monthly, quarterly and some annual reports referencing law and order; a roll of Nisqually allottees in 1924; tribal council records which include minutes, resolutions, revocable permits and election files; copies of letters sent and letters received regarding the legal affairs of individuals and the administration of law and order on reservations. Some records were originally maintained by the Puyallup Agency. When the Puyallup Agency was abolished in 1908 the Cushman Indian School assumed responsibility for the records. In 1920 Cushman Indian School was abolished, and responsibility was transferred to the Taholah Agency. In 1952 Taholah Agency was abolished and responsibility was transferred to the Western Washington Agency.
